What are the different prints used and how do you format them ?
Prints are a way for an agency or a company to give itself visibility through different means. What are the different types of prints used and how do you format them?
1. The different prints
There are different types of print :
- We have posters, these are printed sheets that we will put up on the walls of a building indoors or outdoors but we can also put them up in the street, this will give visibility to a future event that we will propose.
- We have business cards, which are small, easily transportable cards that can be given to passers-by in the street like a leaflet.
- We have flyers, these are leaflets or flyers that have the same purpose as a poster with the difference that flyers cannot be put up on walls but are to be given in person to a person.
- We have brochures, these are small booklets that aim to advertise your company/agency by presenting it directly.
- Finally we have the announcements, these are small letters that will announce the news.
2. Formatting
Of course, if you are going to make prints for your company/agency you will need to have some formatting to catch the eye of the client and therefore give you much more visibility.
To do this you need to go step by step, first of all you need to integrate the colours of your agency/company, these colours must represent your values and what they stand for through semantics. Then, the print must be readable by all, to do this you must choose a font that is readable and adapted to the theme. For your posters and flyers you need to make sure that the reader can see your company/agency through your event, so you need to create a mascot that will represent your agency/company or simply integrate your logo and company name.
For your business card you will need to incorporate your company colours, name and logo, as well as essential company information such as “phone number”, “email”, “head office address”, or “website link”.
Finally, for your flyers, brochures and announcements you should also integrate colours, the name and logo of your company and also integrate an adapted font because you should concentrate on the visibility of the event because these are flyers that will be used to announce an event.
